  2. (For)BMW designed the factory BMW filter housing with some inconsistencies in the center post diameter. Even though the part number is the same, your center post diameter may be a difference size.
  You must measure the center post in your factory filter housing, and ensure that it is no larger than 0.960" If your center post measures more than 1" diameter then the oil cooler cap will not fit.
